As a first time mum, there was so much information out there about everything baby related I was feeling overwhelmed. A close friend told me about the sleep course she'd recently done with Hannah and seeing the benefits it had made in her little family, I was instantly hooked.

Prepare for the baby, not the birth.

Research has shown that planning for a baby should extend beyond birth plans and also focus on the 4^th trimester, once baby is home with you. Planning for the baby once they arrive lessens the incidence of post-natal depression, post-natal anxiety and helps both parents relax. However, postnatal plans are still not widely used in the UK. I am passionate about changing this.

Many of the common issues I see parents face are completely preventable and by implementing my advice from day one you can avoid the exhaustion, worry and stress that so many parents face and can enjoy (nearly) every moment that you have with your newborn baby, that sleeps well.

Hannah helped us with our first baby. We spent six months co-sleeping, rocking and feeding to sleep and Hannah came along and undid all of that in a few weeks. I knew I didn’t want to wait that long to get on top of sleep for our second baby so we contacted Hannah before she was born. It has made such a huge difference having her support from day one. She was able to start self settling after around 5/6 weeks (although we had a few bouts of illness when she was born) and she can now sleep through the night with only one/ two wakes for feeding and she’s not even three months old! This all means I am more rested, happier and less anxious and the whole family benefits! I cannot sing Hannah’s praises enough!

About the course.

However you choose to work with me, you'll be following my 'C.A.L.M Newborn Preparation' course. This seven-module course has everything you need to prepare you for the arrival of your little one and put a plan in place for those crucial first few stages.

Once complete, the course will ensure you have the right equipment for how you want to parent, give you a plan for feeding and give you the tools you need to ensure your baby sleeps well, from the start.

Module One: Introduction

About the course, how it works and how it can help you now and when baby arrives.

Module Two: The reality of this change

How the physiological, psychological, environmental and hormonal changes will affect you, your partner and relationships around you. And, how preparing for this can help you feel confident about these changes.

Module Three: Equipment

Having a baby can be as expensive as you want it to be. In this module we talk about what to buy and why, ensuring you're thinking about how you want to parent, when your baby arrives.

Module Four: Those first few days

Those first few days after bringing baby home can be a whirlwind. Here are my tips for making that time more manageable. I also include tips on sleeping and feeding in the first few days.

Module Five: Moving forward with feeding

Whatever way you choose to feed your baby, I give you my advice and tips to make this a smooth process for you both - ensuring they feed well and gain weight.

Module Six: Moving forward with sleep

Although all the modules are going to help you relax and sleep well this is where I share all my newborn sleep tips. This includes routines, how to hold baby, night time v daytime and so much more to set you up for good sleep, from the start.

Module Seven: Medical Issues & Troubleshooting

In this chapter I talk about colic, CMPA, reflux and other medical issues such as low milk supply. Being prepared means you are one step ahead should anything be bothering your baby.

Hello, I'm Hannah Love.

I’ve spent the last 25 years helping families with their babies and children.

In my twenties I completed three university courses - in Paediatric Nursing, Nutritional Therapy and Cranial Sacral Therapy, whilst traveling the world nannying for pro golfers.

In my thirties I raised my own 3 children (Oliver born in 2008, Ella in 2012 and Henry in 2015), built a house, and founded and grew my new parenting business.

Through Sleep Well with Hannah, I’ve brought together all my experience and training to help hundreds of other families learn to juggle family life and, most importantly, sleep well.

I see myself as more than a sleep trainer - my deep knowledge in babies and children is what makes families feel confident in my hands, and is what makes my programmes, talks and courses work.

Through my CALM (Consistent, Achievable, Loving and Manageable®) approach to parenting I not only teach parents how to manage their baby’s feeding, weaning, nutrition, behaviour, and my most popular subject - sleep - I also teach confidence and how to enjoy juggling life with a baby. My greatest achievement is bringing many families out of dark, sleepless places to enjoying day to day life with their happy, sleeping baby.
